Product Description This is the G-SHOCK 40th Anniversary REMASTER BLACK series, a limited edition model that will celebrate its 40th anniversary in 2023. Inspired by milestones and stone monuments, the names of successive models from the past 40 years are engraved on the band, and the entire band is finished in all black. A star mark is engraved on the side button, and biomass plastic is used for the bezel and band. The backlight and case back are engraved with the 40th logo created by Eric Hayes, who also designed the G-SHOCK 25th, 30th, and 35th logos, and the ring is engraved with a star mark expressing "40". The original DW-6600 was released in 1994. Featuring a digital model with a distinctive graphic display, G-SHOCK's first EL backlight. Following the round case with a front button, the light has been updated to a super illuminator. When lit, the 40th anniversary logo will appear. Battery life has also been extended from about 3 years to about 5 years. The band expresses the history of evolution that G-SHOCK has carved out since its birth in 1983. Using a stone monument that has been passed down through time as a motif, successive models and their debut year are lined up, and hot stamped to create a textured look.
