Japanese Masterpiece Mini Folding Screen Two-fold Folding Screen National Treasure Red and White Plum Blossoms By Korin Ogata 1

7th-century Edo-period painter Ogata Korin (1658-1716)'s representative work ``Kohaku Baizu Byobu'' A bold painting of red and white plum blossoms on the right screen and white plum blossoms on the left, with running water in the center. It is a composition. Korin is one of the masterpieces of his many masterpieces in his late years. It seems that Kourin Issho's emotions are oozing out from every corner of his lively brushstrokes, delicate composition, and skillful depiction.

It is well known that Korin was inspired by Sotatsu's paintings and developed his own style of painting. This is the case of the theme of red and white plum blossoms accompanied by water flow, and the method of composing painting materials on the left and right screens of a pair of two-panel paintings.
