Takashi Murakami's large-scale solo exhibition, which has been a huge hit since its opening, is currently being held at the Kyocera Museum of Art, Kyoto.
Murakami studied Japanese painting at university and was greatly influenced by the painters of the Edo period.
The theme of the exhibition, which deals with the city and history of Kyoto, was "Mononoke."
On the surface, Kyoto has an image of glamor and elegance, but there are many "otherworldly" spots that have been passed down since ancient times.
From the surprising picture matching that challenged the eccentric painters of the Edo period,
There's even Murakami's version of ``Heiankyo,'' which depicts the four gods of Kyoto (Seiryu, Byakko, Suzaku, and Genbu).
Using Murakami's works as clues, we will guide you to the deep world of Kyoto
